You explore the highest mountain in North Africa, 3 days Mount Toubkal peak 4167m, see a great views of the Atlas Mountains Moroccan, green valley Berber villages, meet with our team, local guide and muleteers, go to experience this adventure in your life time. Toubkal ascent 4167m is the high peak in Morocco, and is a trek peak. Two days involve walking with crampons and ice axe for security in winter (Oct to May). The way has been designed for keen hikers, as the ascent is non-technical, but involves some easy scrambling and snow slopes. All views from the top are amazing; across the mountains to Marrakech to the north, and the start of the Sahara desert to the south. All around are the jagged summits of the High Atlas stretching as far as you can see in all directions.


Itinerary

Day One: MARRAKECH – IMLIL 1700M – TOUBKAL CHALET 3207M

Departure from Marrakech by vehicle to Imlil, starting point of your hike, meeting with our team, guide and muleteers, you will start your first day of walking, a regular climb will take you past by village Around, and Marabout sidi chamharouch, a place for all the pilgrims coming from all over the regions of Morocco, to cure the sick people bewitched by the bad spirit, a pose will be the Bienne came, then you will continue your walk south to the refuge of Toubkal, lunch, installation of your luggage , night at Refuge Toubkal, 4 to 5 hours of walking.

Day Two: TOUBKAL REFUGE 3207M – TOUBKAL SUMMIT 4167M – AROUMD 1940M

Very early in the morning, you will start to climb this beautiful summit which is the Toubkal, the highest in North Africa (4167m), a grandiose panorama on the southern part where is the massif of Siroua, the only massif in Morocco with the saffron culture, towards the west the Goun in the case where the luminosity is clear, all the plain of Haouz and all the peaks around, then return to the refuge Meal of midday After we continue the descent towards Aroumd Overnight in Lodge 8-9H walk.

Day Three: AROUMD VILLAGE 1940M –  IMLIL - MARRAKECH.

After breakfast, transfer back to Marrakech.

Clothes and Equipments:

Should be dress according to altitude and the environment you will be located in. The most hikers are in high altitude climate in remote area. Therefore, there are often large temperature swings. Temperatures are usually colder at the high altitudes.

Trekking Clothes:

  • Trekking boots or light weight walking shoes. Have comfortable footwear is essential for a good trek. Make sure all footwear is broken in well prior to your trek. Do not break in boots on your trek,
  • A track suit and a pair of track shoes to wear in lodges
  • Two pairs of woolen socks for trekking shoes and track shoes,
  • Warm down jacket and rain proof jacket with hood for protection from rain
  • Warm hat for the cold and sun hat or cap for sunny days
  • A pair of woolen gloves and a pair sandals
  • Cotton T-shirts and pairs of long shorts/skirts
  • Woolen shirts and thick sweaters as well as wind and water proof trousers
  • Pair of light or heavy weight trouser and one light weight long sleeve shirt
  • Pairs of thermal undergarments
